Normal service has been resumed

Hello, it's me again! I've been a bit lax recently in posting any blog entries. It's a consequence of fatigue as I get used to a revised diet and medication for my newly-diagnosed diabetes. I knew a few months ago that things weren't right, and visits to the doctors and a number of blood tests confirmed my suspicion. The team at the diabetes clinic at the Western General Hospital have been fantastic. It's taken a bit of time to get adjusted to, and odd to think that I'll now be on medication for the rest of my life. But when I think about friends and family who are (or have been) dealing with more serious complaints, and the fact that I've generally escaped ill-health throughout my life so far, things aren't too bad. Energy levels have been much lower than usual, but I'm now getting back to normal. Work has continued apace, and I've had a few challenging weeks making sure that everything gets achieved. I'm grateful for the support of my family and close friends over the past couple of months. Many thanks.
